What should I do if I cannot lose weight?
If you’ve made diet and lifestyle changes and are still having trouble losing weight, it’s a good idea to talk with a doctor or registered dietitian. A doctor can perform a thorough evaluation, review your medications, and check for underlying health conditions that may hinder weight loss or cause weight gain. A registered dietitian can personalize your plan based on your medical history, your individual needs, and your lifestyle.
What does a commercial weight loss program typically not provide?
While some weight loss programs offer health coaching, most commercial weight loss programs do not provide ongoing coaching with a registered dietitian licensed to provide medical nutrition therapy.
