What you should know

These berry-flavored multivitamin gummies supply biotin for hair and nail health, folate to prevent birth defects during pregnancy and help with red blood cell production, and iodine for thyroid support.

  • Our testers said they particularly enjoyed the berry flavor of the Women’s Multi, and that the gummies didn’t get stuck in their teeth.
  • This multivitamin for ladies is one of Olly’s lowest-priced supplements at just $0.31 per serving.
  • These chewy multivitamins are just right for women who’d like comprehensive nutrition without having to swallow large pills.
Pros
Low price point
Contains 100% DV for folate to help prevent birth defects during pregnancy
100% DV or more of seven nutrients
No artificial colors
Cons
Some users dislike the recently updated formula’s flavor
Gummies may stick together
No iron, omega-3s, or probiotics
Strong smell

Olly Women’s Multi overview

For an inexpensive chewable women’s multivitamin, Olly’s version is a solid choice. At just $0.31 per serving, it’s one of the most affordable women’s multis around. We like it for its excellent value. Despite its low price, Olly Women’s Multi contains respectable amounts of all sorts of vitamins and minerals essential for women’s health.

Each serving supplies 100% of the daily value (DV) for folate, the vitamin necessary for preventing neural tube defects during pregnancy. (1) “While this is not necessarily a ‘prenatal’ vitamin, it does have benefits for prenatal times,” explains Victoria Burgess, PhD, CSCS, CISSN.

To help boost energy levels (an issue particularly common in older women), it’s got vitamin B12 in abundance, too—a whopping 250% of the DV. (2, 3) You’ll also find other nutrients essential to women’s health, such as vitamins A, C, D, and E, and zinc. The minerals selenium, iodine, and chromium are also included.

A few nutrients are not featured on the Olly’s Women’s Multi roster, however. These gummies don’t contain any iron, which many women need more of due to menstrual blood loss. (4) And if you’re looking for a multivitamin that supplies omega-3s or probiotics, this won’t be the choice for you, as it doesn’t contain either.

While reviews are mixed on the multivitamin’s flavor, our testers generally had positive things to say about the berry taste. One product tester noted that, not only was their flavor quite pleasant, the gummies didn’t stick to her teeth like some other options. Many users also report that the vitamins have a very strong smell. Some say the gummies do have a tendency to stick together, meaning you may have to un-clump them before eating.

Keep in mind, too, that these gummies have a small amount of added sugar (2 grams per serving). If you’re trying to keep added sugars low, you might prefer a multivitamin that comes in capsule form.

Like all of Olly’s products, the Women’s Multi is third-party tested, meaning its ingredients and purity have been vetted by an outside agency. This is always a good sign of quality.

What customers are saying

Olly Women’s Multi is an extremely popular supplement, with over 37,000 reviews on Amazon, where it averages 4.6 out of 5 stars. Seventy-eight percent of reviewers give the product 5 stars. Many rave about the gummies’ taste and ease of use.

“Tastes like a gummy bear,” reports reviewer Angelica Hamil. Others say they’ve noticed significant improvements in their health since taking it.

I have noticed my skin looks better, I have more energy, my hair looks healthier.”

Catalina H., Amazon

As a counterpoint, however, several reviewers mention a strong, unpleasant smell. “I do always hold my nose when I open the bottle just because there is a strong vitamin smell,” says reviewer Kaitlyn B. Multiple reviews also complain that Olly recently introduced a new product formulation that doesn’t taste as good and doesn’t contain as many nutrients as a previous formula.

What you should know

Olly Men’s Multi is a smart, all-purpose option for guys. Its high B12 (375% DV) is especially noteworthy.

  • Our testers enjoyed the Men’s Multi’s blackberry flavor, praising its lack of aftertaste.
  • The $0.31 per-serving price is considerably lower than other men’s multivitamins.
  • The Olly Men’s Multi is ideal for men who’d like to fill in nutritional gaps with a well-rounded, easy to consume multivitamin.

Olly Men’s Multi overview

A lower percentage of men than women report using daily supplements—but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t use a nutritional boost. (5) We recommend Olly Men’s Multi as an all-purpose nutrition supplement for men. With just 15 calories per serving, two blackberry-flavored gummies provide a host of beneficial vitamins and minerals.

The primary standout here is the gummies’ content of vitamin B12. Research shows that men are more likely to be deficient in this nutrient than women. (6) Olly helps close any potential gap with 375% of the daily value. If that sounds like it might be excessive, not to worry. Because of this water-soluble vitamin’s low potential for toxicity, it has no established upper limit. (4

Besides B12, Olly Men’s Multi is also high in multiple other nutrients, such as vitamins C, D, E, and B6, biotin, and folate, providing 50% or more of the DV for each. Then again, some nutrients aren’t featured here. The gummies don’t include any omega-3s, iron, potassium, probiotics, fiber, or magnesium

“Men have a much lower need for iron than women, which is why iron is left out of many men’s multivitamin products,” notes Jillian Kubala, MS, RD.

Price-wise, you’ll still get plenty of bang for your buck with these chewy supplements. Each bottle contains 90 gummies, which is 45 servings. At a mere $13.99 per bottle, that equates to a bargain of $0.31 per serving. Ordering the vitamins on subscription reduces the cost even further to $0.26 per serving. Shipping costs $6.99 if you order from Olly’s website (or is free if you spend over $49).

And how about taste and texture? By and large, our testers reported liking the blackberry flavor of the men’s multi. Some did say that the taste was overly sweet, though. Texture was another potential downside. One of our testers’ bottles arrived with its entire contents melted.

What customers are saying

On Amazon, Olly Men’s Multi has over 11,000 reviews and an average of 4.5 out of 5 stars. Most reviewers say they’re satisfied with the vitamins’ results, and that their taste is pleasant. Some even report eating the vitamins as a sweet treat. Some say, though, that consistency varies, and different batches of the vitamins seem to arrive harder or softer.

“This last order, they were smaller, and they were harder, and they just seemed like something happened to them,” writes reviewer “Firstinlastout74.”
The vitamins’ packaging is another potential drawback. “My only complaint is the package lid doesn’t ‘reseal’ itself easily, but that can be remedied by putting it in a gallon Ziplock bag. There is a safety seal that you must peel off at first, but after that, the seal doesn’t work with the plastic-on-plastic lid/bottle,” writes reviewer DG.

What you should know

Olly’s Adult Multi + Probiotic combines multiple nutrients with gut-friendly probiotics.

  • Per serving, you’ll get 1 billion CFUs of probiotics—the minimum recommended dose—from Bacillus subtilis, a strain that could help reduce bloating. (7, 8)
  • Though the $0.57 per serving price is higher than Olly’s regular multivitamins, we still think this price is a steal considering the added probiotics.
  • Anyone who’d like smoother digestion and an extra bump of nutrients will appreciate these gummies.

Olly Adult Multi + Probiotic overview

Just like you might think of multivitamins as large pills, you might think of probiotics the same way. Fortunately, Olly Adult Multi + Probiotic supplies a blend of vitamins, minerals, and gut-friendly bacteria in a single gummy.
These gummy supplements combine at least 50% of the DV for vitamins A, C, D, B12, and E, folate, biotin, and iodine, along with the probiotic strain Bacillus subtilis. Research has linked this strain with improved GI symptoms like less bloating, flatulence, and belching. (7) If you’re looking for improvements in gut health, this multivitamin-probiotic duo might help.

“Having the proper gut balance can help nutrient absorption, which will help in this case to absorb the most vitamins as possible.”

Victoria Burgess, PhD, CSCS, CISSN

Just remember it’s always best to talk to your doctor before adding any supplement—especially a probiotic. Introducing new bacteria may actually be harmful for people with compromised immune systems or certain underlying health conditions. (9) Note, too, that different people may respond differently to unique probiotic strains. (10)

Considering that this multivitamin costs just $0.26 more per serving than Olly Men’s and Women’s multivitamins, it’s definitely a good deal. (You’ll pay upwards of $1 per serving for many other solo probiotic supplements on the market.)

Then again, Olly’s Multi + Probiotic doesn’t contain any fiber, unlike some competitors. You can boost its effectiveness by consuming plenty of prebiotic fiber from food. This type of fiber, found in foods like asparagus, artichokes, bananas, and soybeans, helps feed healthy gut bacteria. (11)

This supplement’s tropical taste is another point in its favor. Most reviewers say it’s quite pleasant. (Of course, it does contain added sugars to achieve its taste—one serving has 2 grams.) Surprisingly, though, the smell of Olly Adult Multi + Probiotic may not match its fruity flavor. Reviews are rife with reports that the gummies’ smell is off-putting. Another point in the “minus” column: these gummies are likely to melt together. Amazon advises customers to be home at the time of delivery so the products don’t melt in high outdoor temperatures.

What customers are saying

Customers seem happy with their overall experience with Olly Adult Multi + Probiotic. On Amazon, the product gets a 4.5-star average rating out of 5 from a total of about 3,200 reviews. Quite a few customers say they’ve seen a meaningful difference in their digestion since starting them.

“These taste great and have helped with my gut health.”

Jennifer B., Amazon

The top user complaint on Amazon has to do with the product’s tendency to melt together into a single mass. “They had all melted into one gross chunk,” says reviewer Ashley S. However, most say customer service was helpful and accommodated requests for a new bottle.

Who Olly Adult Multi + Probiotic is recommended for:

  • Men and women seeking better digestive health
  • People who want to take a probiotic and multivitamin in one
  • Anyone who prefers a shelf-stable probiotic

Who Olly Adult Multi + Probiotic is not recommended for:

  • People with underlying health conditions (especially those that affect the GI tract) should check with their doctor before taking this supplement
  • Not for use in children
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women should speak with their doctor about whether this supplement is right for them

Olly Essential Prenatal Multi offers reliable nutrition, including omega-3s and folate, for expectant mothers.

  • Omega-3s are included here to help support the baby’s neurological development. (12)
  • With a price tag of only $0.47 per serving, this prenatal is significantly cheaper than many you’ll find on the market.
  • Whether you’re pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding, these gummies can be a good fit for this special time of life.

Olly Essential Prenatal Multi overview

When you’ve got a “bun in the oven,” your nutrient needs increase significantly. Pregnant women require more micronutrients like iron, calcium, iodine, and vitamin D to support not only their own needs but also the baby’s healthy development. (13, 14) Olly Essential Prenatal Multi has you covered on several of the nutrients you require more of during this precious time of life.

Each two-gummy serving supplies 133% DV of vitamin D and 52% DV of iodine, as well as high amounts of vitamin A, vitamin B12, and niacin. Other critical nutrients for pregnancy are present, too. A serving contains 111% DV of folate, the mineral that helps prevent neural tube defects in utero. (15) One hundred percent of the DV of vitamin B6 is another helpful addition, since some research shows it may quell morning sickness. (16

Notably, the Essential Prenatal Multi is missing calcium and iron. That said, many vitamin manufacturers leave iron out of their prenatal formulas, since it’s known for causing upset stomach and “pregnant women have differing iron needs,” notes Kubala. (17)

Another selling point for Olly’s prenatal is its inclusion of omega-3 fatty acids. Increasing your intake of these healthy fats during pregnancy supports heart, immune, and nervous system health, as well as promoting baby’s cognitive development. (18) Consuming plenty of these fats may even lower your risk of preeclampsia and low birth weight. (18) Olly’s prenatal contains 70 milligrams of omega-3s from fish oil. Though this amount is helpful, you’ll want to be sure your diet also provides an additional source of omega-3s. The American Pregnancy Association recommends pregnant and lactating women get 300 milligrams per day. (18)

With all these elements in a two-gummy dose, Olly’s Essential Prenatal Multi is an excellent value. Each serving costs only $0.47. Its tropical taste is well-liked among most users—though it’s not uncommon to experience taste changes during pregnancy. Even if you’re usually fond of tropical flavors, it’s always possible the acidic nature of these gummies won’t sit well with you.

What customers are saying

Over 10,000 Amazon reviews with a 4.6-out-of-5 average reveal that moms-to-be are largely fans of Olly Essential Prenatal Multi. Several common threads emerge among satisfied reviewers.

There are so many things I like about these. They taste good, they don’t make me sick, and they are easy to remember to take!”

Carlee, Amazon

Among the many glowing reviews, though, a few aren’t so complimentary. Several mamas say the gummies’ acidic tropical taste isn’t a great choice for pregnancy nausea. “As a prego woman, please I’m begging, come out with a different flavor that’s not so acidic tasting,” writes reviewer Ashley.

Olly Teen Girl Multi overview

Teenagers aren’t exactly famous for eating a healthy diet. Sometimes they could use a little nutritional support. Olly’s Teen Girl Multi can help round out what might be missing from teen girls’ eating habits.

Each serving contains at least 50% of the DV of 12 micronutrients, including vitamins A, C, D, E, B6, B12, folate, and biotin. The addition of biotin is especially relevant to teen girls looking for hair health benefits. Though more research is needed, some studies indicate that biotin may help increase hair growth. (19) Meanwhile, B vitamins in this formula help convert nutrients to energy, and vitamins C and D (plus zinc) aim to support immune health. (20, 21)

While all these nutrients are a good start for teens’ overall health, Olly Teen Girl Multi doesn’t contain some elements you might hope for. The gummies don’t supply any fiber, probiotics, or omega-3s. They’re also void of calcium and iron, “both of which can be extremely beneficial for the teen girl,” notes Burgess.

On the other hand, these vitamins are gluten-free and made with natural flavors and colors. Their two-in-one strawberry watermelon flavor is a major draw for girls who enjoy a sweet treat. Many say they taste just like gummy candies. However, the gummies are not vegan and are made in a facility that may process common allergens like soy, shellfish, milk, and peanuts. If your daughter has a severe food allergy, you may want to choose another teen multivitamin.

All told, the Olly Teen Girl Multi is a strikingly good deal. Each bottle contains 70 gummies (35 servings) at a per-serving cost of $0.40. You can also subscribe on the brand’s website to save extra money. A monthly subscription saves 15%.

Like some of Olly’s other products, the Teen Girl Multis may have a tendency to melt together, especially if shipped during the hotter months of the year. To avoid this packaging hiccup, consider purchasing them in-person.

What customers are saying

Olly Teen Girl Multi gets an average of 4.4 stars out of 5 on Amazon. The top benefit mentioned seems to be their taste.

“These gummies taste great…I actually look forward to taking them. Like it’s a little treat!”

Kelley P., Amazon

Others say they’ve noticed clearer skin, more energy, and better focus since taking them.

Negative reviews make up the minority here. Those who have a beef with the vitamins say that Olly may have recently changed their formula—and not in a good way. “When we received our most recent shipment the product was different. They are usually soft and spongy but the recent shipment was shriveled and hard,” says reviewer Tim V.

What you should know

Worried your little one isn’t getting enough nutrition from their diet? These tasty gummy worms provide at least 50% DV for seven micronutrients; for children ages 2-3, the appropriate one-gummy serving provides at least 50% DV for nine micronutrients.

  • Olly Kids Multi Gummy has separate serving sizes for kids older and younger than age four.
  • The $0.40 per-serving price is comparable to many other OTC kids’ multivitamins.
  • Even kids as young as two years old can take a one-gummy dose of these vitamins.
Pros

Fun, appealing format for kids

Olly Kids Multi Gummy Worms overview

Vitamins in the form of gummy worms—what kid could resist? We particularly like Olly Kids Gummy Worms for young kids (like toddlers) because of their fun, appealing format and plentiful nutrition. The multicolored worms have a sour fruity flavor that’s likely to make little ones feel excited about taking their vitamins. As every parent of toddlers knows, that’s worth a lot.

These vitamins are suitable for kids as young as age two, with special dosing instructions for two- to three-year-olds. (You’ll dose one gummy per child per day at this age, or two gummies per child per day at age four and older.) Since young kiddos just developing their palates may frequently turn up their noses at healthy foods, the gummies offer reassurance that your child is taking in nutrients they might not get from their diet.

For two- and three-year-olds, a serving provides at least 50% of the DV for multiple micronutrients, such as vitamins A, C, D, E, B6, B12, biotin, folate, and pantothenic acid. Each plays its own role in supporting kids’ overall good health.

Then again, these supplements don’t contain any fiber, probiotics, or omega-3 fats. Little ones who need a boost of any of these nutrients will need to get them elsewhere. The gummies also contain 6% of the recommended limit for added sugars for children, which is a tad high.

“Ensuring proper mouth hygiene after consuming the gummy can help keep away cavities,” notes Burgess.

Another reason Olly Kids Gummy Worms make a good choice for toddlers: they don’t have any artificial flavors or colors. Though research is still unfolding on the subject of red dyes and increased hyperactivity, some studies have shown a link between the two in kids. (22) If you’re concerned about the possibility of ADHD in your child, you may prefer to stay away from red dye in their diet. However, that’s not an issue with these gummies.

Some experts argue that making kids vitamins look like candy (such as gummy worms) is problematic, since it could lead to kids inadvertently overdosing on the supplements. Be sure to keep these gummies securely sealed and out of reach of young children to prevent this scenario.

What customers are saying

Parents and kids alike have praise for these healthy gummy worms. Of 3,600 reviews on Amazon, 82% give the supplement 5 stars, with an average 4.6-star rating. “These gummy worms are bursting with sour fruit punch flavor that kids adore,” writes Amazon reviewer Gizem A.

“My child looks forward to taking her daily gummies, and I must admit, I enjoy sneaking a few myself!”

Gizem A, Amazon

Users say they appreciate knowing little ones are getting ample nutrition in such a tasty package.

Like many of Olly’s gummies, however, the gummies seem to have a tendency to melt together—in this case, into an unappealing wormy blob. According to reviewer Desiree, “The product showed up completely melted together into one big gummy mess. Completely unusable.”

  • This one is a smart choice for kids who struggle with constipation, as well as any who could use general nutrition support.

Olly Kids Multi + Probiotic overview

Olly Kids Multi + Probiotic takes the brand’s Kids’ Gummy Worm and adds a gut-friendly probiotic strain called Bacillus coagulans in a regular gummy (not worm) format. We’re fans of these chewy vitamins for older kids, especially those who may deal with constipation or other digestive issues.

Like the gummy worms, children as young as age two can take these supplements, but dosing can be appropriate for kids of any age. The same dosage applies here as with the gummy worms: one gummy for kids age two and three, and two gummies for kids age four and older.

“Starting low and increasing slowly can help with any possible GI discomfort side effects and knowing which dose is actually helpful.”

Victoria Burgess, PhD, CSCS, CISSN

The probiotic is a welcome addition for many children (and the parents who care for them). Among kids, constipation is an extremely common problem. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, one in 20 kids will make a visit to the pediatrician because of constipation. (24) Fortunately, the probiotic added to Olly’s Kids Multi + Probiotic may help. A small 2020 study revealed that the probiotic Bacillus coagulans was effective in treating constipation-dominant functional bowel disorders. (23

We’ll point out, though, that this supplement doesn’t contain any fiber, which is another important nutrient for bowel health. To best support your child’s digestive health and lower the risk of constipation, you may want to include more fiber in their diet through foods like fruits, vegetables, beans, whole grains, and seeds.

“Fiber will also help feed the probiotics to help more of the strain survive through the digestion process,” adds Burgess.

These gummies don’t provide any omega-3s, iron, or calcium. But they do contain a sturdy mix of other vitamins and minerals, including 50% or more of the daily value for vitamins D, E, B6, and B12, plus folate, biotin, and pantothenic acid for kids age four and older.

And, like Olly’s gummy worms, these berry punch-flavored gummies are made without artificial colors or flavorings. It’s worth noting, however, that they are created in a facility that processes multiple common food allergens. If you need to be extra careful about cross-contamination, you may prefer not to risk it with these.

What customers are saying

The Kids Multi + Probiotic has the highest Amazon rating of all of Olly’s products on our list. Out of over 17,000 reviews, the product averages 4.7 stars out of 5. Parents say their kids genuinely enjoy the vitamins’ flavor and texture and take them willingly.

My son loves these. By far these have been the easiest multivitamins to get him to actually take!”

Samantha F., Amazon

Several reviewers also mention being pleased with the gummies’ probiotic content and its digestive benefits for kids.

The common issue of melting seems to apply to these gummies, however. Some users also report frustration with the supplements’ packaging, saying bottles are unnecessarily large. “My major disappointment is that they come in a HUGE plastic bottle (with child-proof lid). The bottle is only about 1/3 full when new,” writes Amazon user “Happy Shopper.”

Olly certainly stands out for its low price, consistent third-party testing, and its many tasty gummy options. For some people, though, another product may be a better choice. Ritual’s multivitamins, for example, provide an above-and-beyond level of transparency about what goes into them.

Meanwhile, a multi like the ones from Transparent Labs or Legion Athletics could be a favorite if you’re looking for a vitamin that supplies very high amounts of micronutrients. Both contain over 1,000% of the daily value for multiple micronutrients.

How we test multivitamins

We’re committed to providing practical, transparent supplement reviews. When testing multivitamins, we analyze aspects like their value, quality, effectiveness, and taste, weighing products’ merits compared to other similar options.

Each multivitamin supplement we review is put through our multivitamin scoring methodology for men or for women, which grades the product into three primary categories. Multivitamins can also earn bonus credits that boost the overall rating for factors like sustainable packaging, third-party testing certifications, and more. The three primary categories are:

Key nutrient minimum dosages—60%

We consider the key nutrient minimum dosage to verify that the product delivers adequate levels to support overall health, vitality, and specific gender-related nutritional requirements.

Contains all key nutrients—30%

Ensuring that the supplement contains all key nutrients is crucial for comprehensive nutritional support. This is important because different genders may require varying amounts of certain nutrients, such as iron for women or zinc for men. We consider whether the supplement includes all essential nutrients to provide balanced support for the unique health needs of men or women.

Here are just a few we consider:

  • Vitamins A, C, D, E, and K
  • Iron
  • Calcium
  • Zinc
  • Folate (folic acid)
  • Magnesium
  • Selenium
Cost per serving—10%

The cost per serving is vital for evaluating the long-term affordability and value of the supplement.

FAQs

What is Olly?

Olly is a supplement brand that offers vitamins intended for a host of health concerns. Nearly two dozen unique products aim to support issues like sleep, metabolism, digestion, and prenatal health. While most of Olly’s products are in gummy form, some are softgels. Olly is known for its affordability and wide accessibility, since it’s sold both online and in stores.

Are Olly vitamins good?

Olly vitamins are third-party tested, meaning they’ve been vetted by an outside agency for quality and purity. Depending on which type you choose and your reason for purchasing them, you may see meaningful results for your health. Just keep in mind that no multivitamin has been linked with reduced risk of major health conditions like heart disease, cancer, or cognitive decline. (25)

What are the side effects of Olly vitamins?

Unless you have a sensitivity to any of the ingredients in Olly’s vitamins, side effects are unlikely. However, if your diet already provides high amounts of a certain nutrient and you add too much via a vitamin, you could run into problems. Excessive amounts of vitamin A, for example, can cause nausea and vomiting, while too much calcium could give you an irregular heartbeat. (26)

Can you take Olly everyday?

Olly’s vitamins are intended to be taken every day. In fact, you’ll probably get the most out of your supplements if you take them daily. Research shows that people who do so may experience improvements in serum levels of nutrients like zinc and vitamin C. (27)
